Fighting avoidable sight loss

Eye heroes is the UK’s first child-led campaign to fight avoidable blindness.

Our volunteers deliver interactive workshops (face to face and online) to train children to become eye health champions and inform others in their families and communities.

Older Primary School Children in a classroom eagerly listening and looking at you, some of the children are raising their hands. (max 125 chars)

OR Imagine standing in front of a class of Primary School Children who are listening to you intently and are keen to share with you the knowledge they have.

Our fun and interactive workshops…

boost child confidence
include games, videos, role play and more
are suitable for children aged 8–12
are run by trained volunteers in a fun and memorable way.

Dec 2020: We have BIG news here at Eye Heroes! We were awarded a grant from the Vision Foundation, which will expand our work in London. Over the next two years, we plan to run at least 200 workshops, which should lead to 15,000 people getting sight tests. Vision Foundation Grant
